Apple tarte tatin is pretty much an upside down apple tart with caramel sauce. It is pronounced “tart tat-uhn” and the stories on its origin vary, but essentially it was a mistake that ended up being awesome.
Apple tarte tatin may seem difficult, but it is beginner-friendly. Just don’t make it when you’re drunk because you’ll probably burn yourself.
All you need is:
- Puff Pastry (store bought is fine)
- Ice cream
