With a spotlight on renowned chefs from around the world working in casual restaurants, including food carts and hawker stalls, the storytellers behind Chef’s Table are working on a new Netflix series called Street Food.

Chef’s Table creator David Gelb will be taking viewers on a journey throughout nine Asian countries in its first season, with each episode highlighting “the stories of perseverance and culture that bring life to each country’s cuisine.”

The first photo from Street Food is of Thailand’s Jay Fai, who was Bangkok first street-side restaurant chef to receive a Michelin star.

All nine episodes of Street Food will air on Netflix on April 26.
