It doesn’t happen that often but, these Jam and Pistachio Pastry Donuts pretty much turned out first go. Usually, there’s a whole pile of non-edible food. Nup. Apart from a few burnt edges. They were spot on. Hurrah!
This is a great recipe to make with the kids and feel free to tweak the jam or the nuts. It’s your pastry donut, put in ingredients that make you happy.
2 x SHEETS OF PUFF PASTRY, AT ROOM TEMPERATURE
400G OF PISTACHIOS
SOME OF YOUR FAVOURITE JAM
1 EGG, BEATEN
5 TABLESPOONS OF ICING SUGAR
1 TABLESPOONS OF MILK
YOU’LL ALSO NEED
AN 80MM ROUND CUTTER
A 30MM SMALLER CUTTER, I USED A PASTRY TIP
