So, back in the day, there was a trend happening in Japan where people were bathing in a pool of Ramen. Now, Japanese people are suddenly bathing in pools of wine, in celebration of a French Holiday.
People are dipping their toes in the alcoholic beverage to celebrate Beaujolais Nouveau, the French wine holiday and there is one spa that is specializing in this unique luxury service.
Hakone Kowakien Yunessun spa, which is located in Hakone, a city in Japan, features hot pools filled with red wine and water. Now get this, guest are allowed to either drink from glasses or straight from the pools with their bare hands (my choice would be stick to the glasses, but hey each to their own).
The spas website mentions that bathing in wine is also a rejuvenating treatment for the body. I’m sure a few sips here and there won’t hurt the mind, body or soul!
