Hidden beneath the hustle and bustle of the Sydney CBD, down in basement level, Rabbit Hole is the ideal place for a lunch, dinner or that much needed amazing cocktail.
In need of a late night feed, we headed over to the Rabbit Hole Bar & Dining as we heard they had a pretty decent burger and fries.
Leaving it the waiter, we sat, waiting and wondering what’s going to appear in front of us.
Voila, we began with these amazing margaritas – Finger lime and molecular balls of tequila and Cointreau. With each bite, the molecular balls exploded like liquid fireworks filling the mouth up with delicious alcohol.
The best bottle of rum we’ve had to date. Housemade Smoked Rum Old Fashioned with Mt Gay XO, Cardamon, Sugar, Chocolate and Smoke.
Really smooth and flavoursome, the cardamon plays well with the rum.
BEST DAMN FRIES I’VE EVER HAD! Yes, seriously.
Thick hand cut fries that are steamed, roasted, tempura battered and double fried then topped with parmesan and shaved truffle. Crunchy on the outside, soft and yummy on the inside. And that truffle, oh gosh, epic!
Gorgeous Ocean trout gravlax with mustard crumble, pickled cucumber, salmon roe & dill cream.
With a side of roasted beetroot, pumpkin and kipfler potato, picked radish, carrot and beetroot and frozen goat’s cheese.
Check out this gigantic beast. The “Rabbit Hole” wagyu beef burger on brioche with brie cheese and house made tomato relish. Soft buns, tender wagyu patty and that tomato relish, wow. So good, must order, nom nom.
And for the last drink of the night, the “P B & B”. Mt Gay XO rum, peanut brittle, banana, vanilla and lemon. Smooth and peanuty, what a drink!
For great food, EPIC FRIES, fantastic rum and excellent cocktails with friends, head over to the Rabbit Hole.
