Taking us back into the 1980s with teens fighting off The Demogorgon whilst sipping cans of New Coke, Burger King will soon be serving us “Upside Down Whoppers” in nostalgic packaging, just in time for Stranger Things Season 3, which premieres July 4 on Netflix.
Starting June 21, select stores will serve “Upside Down Whoppers,” which will have the exact same ingredients, just served upside down (meaning, flat bottom bun goes on top, round top bun on the bottom, nothing super fancy, just upside down) and served in retro packaging, full 1980s style.
welcome to hawki—er, burger king. would you like an upside down whopper?— Stranger King (@BurgerKing) June 13, 2019

Unfortunately, only 11 Burger Kings (Get it? Eleven?) located in Miami, Houston, Boston, Atlanta, Philadelphia, Dallas, Chicago, San Francisco, Los Angeles, and New York will take part in the promotion. To everyone else around the world, we’re not included 🙁
Hardcore Stranger Things followers who live outside those major cities can grab themselves a $5 “Hopper” Meal (in honour of Sheriff Hopper, played by David Harbour) which can be ordered via DoorDash with the code discount, “STRANGER.”
