For most of us, fast food isn’t fast enough, especially when we’re super hangry. KFC now has the answer for us — its first drive-thru-only store. Minimal waiting, maximum satisfaction.
Moving away from the standard one-lane drive-thru model, KFC has just opened a five-lane drive-thru-only concept in Newcastle, NSW. This concept is the first of its kind in the world, it has three lanes for the pick-up of online and app purchases, and two lanes for regular drive-thru transactions.
For customers who have chosen to order via the KFC app or website, they’ll receive a four-digit code with their transaction, which they’ll then enter on a touchscreen when they drive up. Or they can order regularly from the standard lanes. However customers order their fried chicken, they’ll still need to wait for it to be cooked —even though the concept is designed to speed up the the entire order to unbuttoning of pants process.
Find the drive-thru-only KFC at 80 Lambton Road, Broadmeadow. It opens from 10am–midnight daily.
